Its almost Christmas!

And seriously, Im so not ready.  Nothing is wrapped and i haven't even put all of the bulbs on the trees!!  Good thing I have everything though.  We tried to go to Wal Mart today for a case of water and a carton of eggs and HOLY COW!!!  Dont try to go to Wal Mart 3 days before Christmas.  I think there  may have been 5 empty parking spots and we turned out about as fast as we turned in.  We ended up heading  to the local Road Ranger, and ended up with 2 jugs of water, 2 BFC Monsters, and we forgot the eggs.  Must have been distracted by the Monsters!!  Did I ever mention that Monster Energy Drinks are my weakness?  I honestly almost died around my 7th month of pregnancy.  I didnt have a drink of Monster from the  time  I found out I was pregnant until after I had them.  I was devoted!!  Now, I am trying to pump as much as possible, but im sure the Monster isnt helping my supply, oh well.   Heres the cutest video of Laramie smiling...dont mind my annoying baby voice :)

In other news, we went to Millers Grill this evening after our failed trip to Wally World (apparently it made us hungry to see all the cars) and the last time we were there,  was exactly 7 weeks ago, the night before the c section.  Well, the manager of the whole place totally remembered me coming in with Nick and my mom and requesting a table (because I was 5 feet around, couldnt fin into a booth) haha!!!  So cool for her to see them!!

Alright, Im off to get a shower
then the girls get baths
then bedtime!!!

Goodnight!

2 Year Anniversary

Today is mine and Nick's 2 year wedding anniversary!  I am shocked that it has been two years. Come to think of it, I love the number 2.  2 years, 2 beautiful babies, 2 dogs, and 2 people to try to keep it all together...yeah life is good!

So since Nick had to work all day today...literally all day.  He had ranges and night fire so he was gone from 3:30am to  8:30 pm...we celebrated last night. He made an amazing meal, 4 cheese chicken pasta with garlic bread, and oven roasted asparagus, and a little wine :)  It was awesome to just sit and have a nice dinner and be with out beautiful baby girls :)

So much has changed in 2 years.  Two years ago we were fresh out of high school and getting married was the next step.  We each had a dog, and a truck, he had 3 dirt bikes, and I had three horses.  Now we have a house (rented but that isnt the point) were financially stable, insurance, and the most beautiful little Cowgirls we could ask  for.

Anywho, here is a few pictures just because :)

And as you can see here Rylie does not appreciate it  : )

2 week visit

So the babies had their 2 week well baby visit today...and they both gained the right amount of weight.  I am so proud of my little girls.  I am currently pumping and feeding them breast milk, as they dont latch very well (or at all for that matter)  And I have a low supply.  Its super heart breaking for me to not be able to give them exclusively breast milk.  And  to everyone who said "your body knows what to do, so dont worry about supply"  uhh, right, tell that to Rylie and Laramie.

So I see that I am a horrid blogger.  I  never get on this thing!  I am making a promise to blog more, just for myself so I remember what happened when while my two little cowgirls were so young.  So my new promise is to blog at least once a week about whats goin on with us, and write down all the great and amazing things that Rylie and Laramie decide to do!

So in other news, Thanksgiving is next week, which means  that my mom will leave next week.  That makes me so sad!  My mom and i have always been really really close, and to live so   far away from her is so hard.  But she has been here for 5 weeks and has to go home.  Apparently they will fire her if she doesnt return (who knew!?)  Either way, here are some pictures of my little Cowgirls.

Rylie
6lbs 7oz (1oz shy of birth weight) 20 1/2'' long

 Laramie
5lbs 14oz (2oz above birth weight) and 19 1/2" long

And here is both of them because thry're just so cute!

November 4, 2010

I did it.  I made it to my scheduled c section.  I carried these girls to term and I cant believe it!

So the morning of Thursday November 4 2010 was one of excitement, nerves, and a bit of panic.  I didnt really sleep all night just knowing that I was going to meet my little girls for the first time in a few short hours!  I woke up at 3:30am to get ready.  I frantically straightened my hair (why I have no clue) and packing the remaining items in my hospital bag.  at 4:45am I called into L & D as instructed and made sure all was a go.  We were off by 5am headed to the hospital!!  I was admitted got my bracelet, and headed up to L & D with my husband and my mom in tow.

We walked in and I was immediately given a room, a gown, and an IV.  From here on everything went REALLY fast.  5:30-7:30 was the fastest two hours of my entire life!  I soon had two IV's, was being monitored, and was meeting loads of nurses, anesthesiologists, and pediatricians!  I was all shaved up, signed a few forms and in came my doctor!  By then I felt pretty comfortable with the staff and was calming down and beginning to get really nervous and excited.  My doctor asked how I felt and said he would see me in a few!

So I walked myself down to L & D, leaving my mom and husband there to suit up and get ready to meet our girls!  Walking into the OR was um....like something out of a horror film!  The big lights, cold table in the middle of the room...freaked me the heck out!  So I got up on the table and they started on my spinal.  If you have never had one, then you have no clue how hard it is to sit still when youre being poked in the back with a needle!! Its difficult!!  As soon as she got the spinal administered, my feet and my butt were so numb!!

Thankful that the most terrifying part was over, I relaxed and laid there.  Trying to prepare myself to meet my daughters.  By the time I knew it my husband and my mom came in and sat by my head.  Then i realized I was being cut open!  I could feel everything, but no sharp pain!!  It may very well have been the weirdest feeling in my entire life.

At 8:23am on November 4, 2010 Rylie Leona made her appearance into the world feet first weighing 6lb 8oz and measuring in at 19 3/4 inches long.  She was screaming and PERFECT.

One minute later at 8:24am Laramie Beth arrived head first weighing 5lbs 12oz and measuring 18 inches long.  She too was screaming and PERFECT!

I am so in love!  My husband went over and took pictures of them, and reported back to me that everything was a okay and our girls were doing great.  Then they brought them over, and we had our first family photo

My husband and my girls then went back to our room to wait for me to come out of recovery.  My mom stayed with me while they sewed me all back together and then went with my new family towait on me.

Recovery seemed like the longest 45 minutes of my life!!  All I wanted was to go see my babies!!  I was able to move my feet and legs so off I went to my room to see my family!  Once I got up to my room, I had some HUNGRY little girls!!  But before they ate, I got this picture

OUR GIRLS ARE AMAZING!!!!!!!!

36 weeks!

So here I am, 36 weeks 2 days and I am so thankful to still be pregnant!!  Want to know my fear?  The full moon tomorrow night.  I am terrified that its going to put me into labor!!  Or break my water or something!!  I really hope nothing happens I would be devastated!!

Okay now that I got that out of the way...my mom will be here on Monday!!! 3 days away!!  And we will meet our two beautiful baby girls in 13 days!!!!  how exciting is that!?  I just cant wait!!  I packed my hospital bag this morning, all except for the things that I cant pack until the night before, and I feel ready!  I am just hoping to stay pregnant until the 4th!  its so important to me!!  Alright well its naptime...haha what else do I do anymore?

20 DAYS

So we have but 20 days until the girls arrive!  I also only have 5 more NST days until they are here!  This is all so crazy!  I have everything we need for these little girls too.  The last few things will arrive in the coming days....2 bouncers, and a cozy car seat cover (because apparently Wal-Mart only stocks 1 at a time) will be the last things to arrive!

I feel completely ready for them to be here, now all that is left to do is lay on my left side and wait!  I REALLY don't want to do anything that could increase my chances of going into labor at all, so now Nick gets to go grocery shopping and all that fun stuff!  If I leave the house, I am going to the hospital for appointments or monitoring's, that's the only reason I get to leave.  And I am okay with that.  I know that every day brings my girls closer and closer to being better developed for this world, and knowing that even if they decide they want to come early, that I did everything in my power to keep them in!

Thank God that on Tuesday we will be 36 weeks!  I have read that by 36 weeks babies are pretty well developed, and usually have little to no lasting effects of being pre term.  I am in soo much pain at this point, that bed rest is really the only option anyway haha!!!!!  Alright, I need to jump in the shower (like how i say jump like anything at 35 weeks with twins happens quickly) and get ready for my appointment....

I have been slacking! 35 weeks!

Okay I know, I have been slacking on my posts...my bad!!

So I am very happy to report that I am now 35weeks 2 days and still pregnant!  The girls are doing great and today we had a doctors appointment.  They are still both footling breech, which they will remain like that until our c section on November 4th!  Now, the 4th is only 22 days away!  I am so excited and I cant believe its already time for them to be here!!!

So the doctor gave me my pre admissions paperwork, we got that taken care of, did the GBS swab and gave us our birth certificate paperwork to fill out.  I am so giddy I could scream!

We had a growth ultrasound at exactly 34 weeks.  Rylie(baby a) was 4lbs 11oz  and Laramie (baby b) was 4lbs 12oz.  So they are both measuring amazing and my doctor said that if we make it to our scheduled c section each baby should weight at least 6 and a half pounds!  That is such exciting news for us!  So we haven't been having contractions or anything, other than the occasional Braxton Hicks, so he seems very confident that we will make it to 38 weeks!!!

In other news....WE HAVE MOVED.....AGAIN.  And hopefully for the last time.  This is our 4th move in a year, and our 3rd since I have been pregnant.  The house is finally unpacked and everything is all set up and ready for my little girls!  Well that's about all the update I have for now!  oh, and heres a picture for the road.

The 411

Alright. So my last post said...well nothing, so here is where I will give you my life story (sort of) and introduce you to my family!

So to begin, I am Sam, I am 20 years old (21 in January)  and I am currently 32weeks 5 days pregnant with fraternal twin girls.  This is me :)

Alright.  I was in high school rodeo, and I team rope with my mom back home in California.  I will get to why California is "back home"  I have the best horse ever, Johnny Cash!  We make a great team I tell ya!  So the reason I am not in Cali?

This man right here.  This is my husband Nick.  We got married on December 6, 2008, just 6 months after graduating high school.  After our wedding, Nick joined the Army, and we got stationed here

Yup...good old Ft Lost n The Woods Missouri!!  I hate the weather, and being 2000 miles away from my mom really sucks!!  But what can ya do?  So we have been here for about a year and a half now, fun times really.  We have moved 3 times, and will probably move more because we always seem to get screwed on where we live.  Missouri is rough!  I will tell you one thing I love about Missouri...the SNOW!!  I love it!  Anyway!  We have 2 dogs...

FLOWER

BUDDY
They are both awesome!!  And now we are expecting our two beautiful daughters, Rylie Leona & Laramie Beth.  As of right now my girls are just over 4lbs each and were at 32weeks 5 days.  I am praying that we make it to at least 36 weeks with these little darlings, but from what I have read you never can tell!  Thus far my pregnancy has been relatively uneventful, other than that time I got hit by lightning...yeah go figure.  But other than that we are all good!!  So this is us so far!  I will try to get some pictures up of the bedside nursery today :)

 Bye!
