8 Months

We have come a long way in the past 8 months, and I honestly have a hard time remembering how my life was before my sweet little love bugs came into the picture.  I will say this, life took on a whole new vibrancy to it when we had the girls.  They have changed everything in such good ways, and I am very grateful for that!  Before them, I was alone, all day, just me and the dogs...what in the world did I do all day?  Well, I worked.  Starbucks!!!  I did that, but not for very long, what did I do?!  I think what I am getting at is that there is reason to live!!  Holidays are so much more special when you have little ones.  I love them to the moon and back!!!  

Okay, enough sappy rambling, here's the low down.

6.4.11-Laramie got her 2nd tooth (Lower Left)

6.5.11-First night in seperate beds (best decision I have ever made!)

6.5.11- Rylie slept on her tummy for the 1st time

6.6.11- First time Rylie and Laramie have tried Chicken

6.8.11- Both girls STTN 8:30pm-5:30am

6.9.11- Rylie sat herself up from laying down for the 1st time

6.10.11- Laramie sat herself up from laying down for the 1st time

6.10.11- First trip to Panera Bread

6.10.11- First time being babysat by Great Grandpa &Elaine!!

6.14.11-Rylie really crawled for the 1st time

6.15.11- Laramie really crawled for thr 1st time!

6.20.11- 1st time eating stage 3 food!

6.24.11- 1st spleepover with Grandma & Grandpa Jones! (mommy too!)

6.24.11- 1st time being babysat by G & G Jones

6.30.11- Laramie said "mama"

7.3.11- 1st time celebrating Great Grandma Berta's birthday!

Thats a rundown of what happened in Rylie & Laramie's 7th month of life.  I think this is how I will do it from now on, I like knowing the specifics!  I am so in love with these little bugs, and yes I call them my little bugs (thanks to Miss Spider) and if you dont know what that is, turn in Nick Jr!  Anyway!!  The girls are little speed deamons!  Seriously, its crazy.  I have had to do some intense baby proofing of my moms house.  They LOVE spilling the dog water, at least, until it gets them all wet and cold.  If you run up behind them and say "momma's gunna gat you!!"  they scurry off as quick as they can.  SO CUTE! 

They are both trying to stand....They will walk if you hold onto their hands, they stand up all by themselves (well, with the use of ________ <--insert furniture or other object here) I am so freaked out that they are going to fall and hit their heads hard!!  But I am a very paranoid momma, so I guess it comes with the territory.  

Rylie is soo sneaky, and when she gets caught, she gives you this little grin that says {im bad, but im cute!}

Laramie is Just the sweetest little babbling baby ever, she seriously talks all the waking hours of the day, and I love it!!

The girls apparently hit the switch from "Scream through bath time" to "We love bath time!"  I now can bathe them together, in the bathtub as opposed to separately in the sink.  I had to do that because they both screamed bloody murder while I bathed them, so I had to do it separately, where they wouldn't drown.  Now, they will sit and play with their toys for a good 20 minutes before the water gets cold. 

I guess thats about it, except for a photo bomb and an 8 month photo, which will be MUCH harder to capture than the previous 7

7 months

I have two 7 month olds?

WOW

Well, They have both achieved so much in these past 7 months.  They are so, so different from when they were born!  They are both now almost crawling, they both sit on their own (though they dont have much interest in it for more than a few minutes) And they LOVE mealtime with big girl food!

 Rylie Leona

This little girl just melts my heart.  She is really the sweetest baby I have ever met.  She is milder than her sister, and is much more easy going (unless she is sick)  Speaking of sick, she is sick right now.  Laramie got all three of us sick...but I dont know where it came from.  Anyway, Rylie has one tooth, and she got it 2 days before her 7 month mark!! (6/2/11) She is a total thinker.  She will examine something for a long time, just trying to figure out what its for and what she can do with it.  She can *almost get herself from the crawling position to a sitting position.  Her head is almost back to normal shape, but she still has a little flat spot.  Her hair is getting so long and thick!!  I am so excited!!She has started to like finger foods and is always up for trying something new.  She is the light of my life for sure.  She LOVES loves loves her daddy!!!  She wears size 3 diapers, size 2 shoe (though we dont have any shoes haha) size 6 & 9 month pants, size 9 month clothes, and size 12month sweatshirts.

Laramie Beth

She is the cutest little munchkin ever!!  She will give you a look sometimes and all I can think is "wow, shes the spitting image of her daddy!"  This little girl is the epitome of a Daddy's Girl, and she gets soo excited when we talk to him on the phone :)  She is a "doer"  she doesnt care to try to analyze things like her big sis, all she cares about is doing it and figuring it out.  She dives head first into life and its great.  She can almost crawl as well, and I think she may do it first.  She has a new thing just in the past week or so where she does the "downward dog" yoga pose, on her tippie toes and arms fully extended, then falls over and laughs :)  She has two teeth!!  the bottoms are both there!!  SO cute.  She too has a flat spot, but its minor...and im at peace with it.  She is so adventurous and happy!!  She is my little sunshine.  She wears size 3 diapers, size 2 shoe (again, though we dont have any!) size 6 & 9 month pants, size 9 month clothes and size 12 month sweatshirts.

Happy 6 Months {WHAT!}

My two tiny little newborns are now 6 months old!!  Where did these last 6 months go?!  Seriously, when I see how much they do now, I think, wait, they cant do THAT!!  Thats not something they do until theyre 6 months old!......wait, they ARE 6 months old.  Then I think, I freaking survived 6 months of twins!!!  There has got to be some kind of reward for that!!  Alright, Ill get on with them, individually :)

Rylie

Big sister by a mere minute (which I believe will be a huge deal to them when theyre 5) is one of the smiliest babies I have ever met!  She seriously smiles all the time no matter whats going on...well, unless shes hungry...then its literal hell haha.  I am guessing shes roughly 17 pounds, and just outgrew the last of our 3-6 month wardrobe.  She can sit all by herself now, for quite a while.  She also just started something pretty cute.  if she is sitting down and I take her hands, she will pull herself up to a standing position.  The girl will stand for an hour if you let her!!  She currently has an issue with biting and sucking on her lower lip, which has given her a rash, but she doesnt seem to care.  She has two bottom teeth that are going to be coming through within the next month id say, and ugh, the poor girl chews on everything!!  All in all, shes a happy, silly baby who adores her daddy, and is becoming best friends with her sister :)

Laramie

Little sister by a minute, Laramie, is literally the "little" sister.  Shes a little less than a pound smaller than big sis and she is just a more petite build all the way around.  She is super sweet and dont take this the wrong way, but shes a LICKER!!  She will lick anything and everyone!  Its so strange and when we go meet someone new, we have to warn them before handing her off haha.  She is so good at standing!  She loves to stand and she just giggles the whole time!!  Another Laramie favorite?  Holding her own bottle.  Seriously the girl will reach for it, grab it with both hands, and stick it in her mouth. One of the cutest things I have ever seen!! Laramie has at least 4 teeth two upper and two lower that are all white and look like they will be popping through before they hit 7 months!  She loves to screech at her sister, (and everyone for that matter) as well as blow raspberries....about everything!!! 

 

*Disclaimer- I wrote the post on their half birthday, took the picture at 6months 1 week, and am finally posting this 16 days after their half birthday...so much has changed since then!!!

4 MONTHS ♥

Oh wow what a day!My baby girls are 4 months old!  It is so crazy how big they are now!!  We had their 4 month doctors appointment yesterday...that was all good and all bad at the same time!!  They are both healthy as can be with no sign of stopping :)  Hitting every milestone like little pros!!  He checked out Rylie's head (as I have been very worried about it) but said that compared to the photos (that i brought in, like 10 of them) her head looks "so much better"  He said he would have recommended us to see a specialist had her head looked like it did in the "before" photos, but he said with how it is now there is no need for "further worry"  He gave us the go ahead on solids, but they dont seem ready as everything you put in their mouths they spit back at you!  So we are waiting another month, and I am not starting with rice cereal.   I have a solids post in the making.  Anyway, he said they are perfectly healthy and he cant believe how good they are doing...

Then there was the shots.  4 month shots are SOOOOOOOOO soooooo sooooooo much worse than 2 month shots.  Rylie cried for 5 minutes and fell asleep but Laramie on the other hand, she screamed for 30 minutes in pain and I got so upset from it that i cried too, nurses in the hospital must have though I had postpartum depression rocking my screaming baby while crying.  One nurse came over to me and asked if I was okay and Nick said "shots, they upset mommy more than the babies"  she kindly told me if i needed anything i could ask her.  Laramie finally fell asleep and we left (TRAUMATIC!!)  And now the fun part :)

Rylie

14lbs 1oz  24 1/2 inches long

This little girl makes us so happy!!  She smiles and giggles and even knows her name!!  She sat on her own the other day, completely unassisted for a long 6 seconds!!!! She is my Rylie Bug and I love her!

Laramie

13lbs 3oz 23 1/2 inches long

My baby girl.  She makes the cutest faces and rolls all over the place!!  She flipped over on the table at the doctors office and startled her doctor!!  hehe  Shes the light of our lives (along with Rylie of course)

I can not believe that my babies are 4 months old...they are 18 WEEKS!!! ugh where did my teeny tiny buggars go?

3 MONTHS!!!

I can not believe that Rylie and Laramie are 3 months old already!  Its crazy how fast time flies!!  They are already weighing in at around 12 pounds for Laramie and 13 pounds for Rylie!!  They can both sit on their own (when placed) for about 20 seconds, they both roll over both ways, they have amazing head control, AND they have started sleeping through the night!!  I am so proud of my little boogers!!

I have been trying so hard to keep them off their backs and on their tummies or holding them or whatever I have to do so they dont get flat heads, but they both have little bald patches and slightly flat heads!!! ugh I dont know what else I could do!!!  It is definitely frustrating!  I have accepted the fact that sense I have two babies, a little flat head is okay!!

Nick has been gone on a training Mission in Arkansas for the past 3 weeks and let me tell you, it is seriously trying when you have NO back up for three weeks!!!!!  I am hanging on by a thread and to top it off, we just had a huge storm that I wasnt prepared for, and so I have been stuck at our house with NO FOOD for the past WEEK!!  I am ready to pull all my hair out.

2 Months! (Almost)

Seriously?  7 weeks old!!!  I cant believe it!!!  Doesnt seem like 7 weeks ago I had them!!!  Anywho, here are some of the most adorable pictures ever,and yes they are from today, right before lunch time:)  In other news, something is going on with my laptop and if i dont hit the space bar on my keyboard, everything looks like this -->>(seeisnt this soannoying?)  UGH  if it isnt one thing its another...

So its supposed to snow tonight!!!  And on Christmas eve, and on Christmas!!
